Most of my clients are pleasantly surprised by how quickly a purchase can be completed. If you have selected a specific apartment and have the funds available, the entire process — from selection to signing and key handover — can take as little as 5 to 10 days.
In addition to the property price, there are mandatory fees and taxes when buying property in Egypt. I explain everything clearly from the very beginning, so you have a full overview and can plan your budget without stress.
Typically, you should expect the following costs:
Property purchase price, depending on type and location
Annual resort maintenance fee if the property is part of a serviced complex (reception, swimming pool, security). Each resort sets its own maintenance fee.
Installation of electricity and water meters. For new properties, individual meters must be installed, which is a major advantage as you pay utilities based on actual consumption. The cost for both is approximately €350.
Property tax, paid once per year. The amount depends on apartment size and usually starts at around €15 per year.
No hidden fees. You only pay for the property itself.
